I recall a game in the fall of 1982 when Notre Dame Goaltender Bob MacNamarra
was caught behind the net when the puck came free into the slot area.  To
avoid the easy goal, he reached out and pushed the net over (quite blatantly.)
The result was a penalty shot awarded to the attacking team for intentional
delay of game.  So this does in fact occur . . .
