If you want to see some *real* fun in the ECAC, and you don't have a par-
ticular rooting interest, here's what you should be hoping happens this
weekend:

Dartmouth and Vermont sweep Brown and Harvard.
Colgate loses to Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
Princeton gets no more than one point on the weekend against RPI and Union.
Cornell beats St. Lawrence and then loses to Clarkson by exactly two goals.

Why? Well, this sets up a five-way tie for fourth among Brown, Colgate,
Cornell, Dartmouth, and Vermont -- which is bad enough, but in resolving that
one, we find a tie between Cornell and Dartmouth for fifth place... and this
one takes ALL SIX tiebreakers to resolve. It finally goes to Dartmouth by a
margin of six or more net goals (Cornell would have -17, Dartmouth would have
-12 plus however many they beat Brown by) against the top eight teams.

Groan... I'm not sure just *any* tie between Cornell and Dartmouth is so con-
voluted, given where other teams may finish... but it could be real ugly.

"It's time for Congress to act. The computers do not need a V-chip. The
 Internet needs a chastity chip."
-- Representative James Traficant (D-Ohio), citing a report in which a woman
claimed to have gotten pregnant (yes, pregnant) through an E-mail exchange
with a lover 1500 miles away. Traficant went on to warn of the dangers
   of "immaculate reception."
