Where is there evidence to support the myth that Drury is the best defensive
forward in Hockey East and becasue he is the best defensive forward, he
deserves to win the Hobey even though his offensive numbers are just adequate?

That arguement from Drury's supporters assume that all other forwards don't
play adequate defense. However, there are many forwards out there with better
offensive numbers who also kill penalities, backcheck, etc - the factors that
Drury supporters use to separate C. Drury from other Hobey canidates. And what
about the great defenseman with offensive numbers almost as good as Drury's
numbers?

I've seen Drury play as well as most of the other Hobey canidates from the
east. I can say with confidence that Drury's defense does not overcome his
lack of offensive this year. To say that Drury is owed the Hobey from last
year is a ridiculas arguement as the Michigan player clearly deserved to win
it last year.

My choice for the Hobey would be Jason Krog. Other players that should be
contenders from the east in no particular order are: Steve Karyia, Marty
Reasoner, Brian Gionta, Mark Mowers, Mike Mottau, Marc Robilltie (sp), Kris
Poter, and Tom Poti.
