As I said to someone privately -- that's just lawyer-speak ...
 
When you plead no contest, part of it is, officially, that you don't
have to actually admit to the wrongdoing.  It doesn't mean he didn't do
it.  Just like OJ and his no contest plea on the first wife-beating
incident, he always used that to say "Well, I was never guilty of that"
etc... ---- and just like Pete Rose, when he agreed to the baseball ban,
without admitting he bet on baseball.  Of course, Bart Giamatti then
gave his OPINION that Rose DID bet on baseball, which would be akin
right now to the prosecutor in the Massotta case saying "Well, in my
opinion, he's guilty of everything, but we let him plead no contest."
