1.  North Dakota
2.  Miami                 - swept Michigan, beat NH at Denver cup
3.  New Hampshire         - Lost to Miami, #1 RPI ranking
4.  Michigan State        - losses to ND, AF and BGSU, easier sched.
5.  Boston University     - High RPI Ranking
6.  Michigan              - no as good as they seem, no depth, Miami sweep
7.  Wisconsin             - Strong standing in WCHA, RPI ranking
8.  St. Cloud             - Right there with wisconsin
9.  Boston College
10. Northern Michigan     - Tough schedule, beaten Miami twice I tihnk
11. Northeastern
12. Yale                  - easy, easy schedule.. not as good as their
                            record shows
 
 
I don't know much about the eastern teams... Re: Boston College,
Boston... so those are based mostly on stats.. Miami is always
underrated.. Michigan State has had an easy schedule and lost to some
very, very horrible teams. The wolverines have 2 players... Muckalt and
Turco.. nothing beyond that.. If New Hampshire had beat Miami in the
Denver cup they would be #2... those 2 teams are very close.. but the edge
has to go to Miami...
 
Is anyone else VERY VERY surprised at Michigan State being ranked 1 in the
USCHO poll? I have a hard time getting over the teams that they have lost
to! I mean, Alaska Fairbanks? Notre Dame? BOWLING GREEN??? Who loses to
bowling green?? That's an unforgiveable loss.. and then with that backed
up by a loss to AF... and ND.. those are 3 bad, bad teams.. and games that
the supposed best team in the nation should not lose!
