Minnesota continued it's fine form over the holidays going 2-2-1 against
ECAC league opponents.  If the first-year Gophers were in the ECAC they
would be fighting for a home ice play-off spot.  What an impressive start
and certainly an inspiration for other schools to follow.
 
UNH continues to be the team to beat.  The Wildcats dusted their
adversaries in the Brown tournament.  Northeastern and Dartmouth also
showed well in the Auld Lang Syne tourney at DC.
 
This weekend ECAC league action returns with a key match being Dartmouth's
visit to New Hampshire.  Big Green has been hot early and that result
should tell us how strong UNH is.  NU and Harvard welcome Brown and PC,
with the Huskies looking to go all alone at the top of the table.  The
Crimson, Bruno and the Friars all need points and will be looking for
sweeps.
