comments:
Army had some of their disciplined defense back tonight
that they were lacking yesterday. But they still showed
a complete inability to generate offense. The fact that this game
was so close was due to the lacklustre play of Yale.

Frankly, I was shocked to see a co-leader of the ECAC play so
poorly 2 nights in a row. It's true that Yale is just back
from semester break but that was true of all 4 teams. It's also
true that playing in a consolation game in a tournament away from home
with little or no crowd support makes it very difficult to get psyched for
a game. But still, this is division 1 hockey. In order to succeed, a team
has to play through this.
Yale is either beginning a 2nd half collapse (which others have predicted),
they were grossly overrated to begin with, or they just had a horrendous
tournament and had better get their heads screwed on straight before this
weekend when RPI and Union travel to New Haven to start the 2nd half of
the ECAC season.
