Mike Dunham apparently did well last weekend with Team USA (a tie and a
loss with 5 goals allowed each game) so that he has been offered a spot
on the final roster, but position (1, 2 or 3) is uncertain.
 
Mike has returned to Orono and has registered for classes and is
practicing with the (Maine) team.  He is expected to leave campus near
the end of the month for the tournament in France that will preceed the
Olympics.  He will return to Maine for any post-season games that Maine
might play after the Olympics.
 
When (Mike's/Peterson's decision was) announced to the Maine team, the
players responded with a hearty round of applause.
 
It was pointed out by Coach Walsh that this is a similar arrangement to
one with Eric Weinrich, when Eric returned to the team after the
Olympics and completed all Spring semester coursework.
