At this weekend's series between Bowling Green and Alaska-Fairbanks Matt
Shegos called two very questionable penalties within the last minute of
play on UAF when he had essentially "swallowed his whistle" for the last
half of the third period. One was holding the stick and the other was
(I think) holding. While neither penalty had an effect on the outcome
of the games, they were inconsistant at best with his general attitude
toward the end of the game. I thought that this guy was supposed to be
a first rate referee... but it appears that he is given to fits of bad
judgment. Have any of you had the same problems with him or is he
characteristically a poor ref?
