Hey what's this fascination with forwards and goalies?  I know the ECAC
goalie award is a sponsorship kind of thing, but what about the marvelous
defender who doesn't get that many points, but saves his netminder and
team time and time again?
 
I think the WCHA has got it right:
Attacker of the week
Defender of the week (blue liner, goalie or defensive forward)
Rookie of the week
 
We all know I live for the attack, but let's give some credit to those
players who make the attack that much more interesting by providing a
tough defense.
