ECAC/Bauer Player of the Week
Paul DiFrancesco, St. Lawrence  Senior, Center (Nepean, Ontario)
        DiFrancesco helped St. Lawrence to an 8-6 win over St. Thomas in
the consolation game of the JC Penny Classic.  DiFrancesco tallied four
goals and two assists for six points on the night.  On Friday night he
netted his first goal of the season and finished the weekend with five
goals and two assists for seven points.  His five goals lead the league as
does his seven points.
 
ECAC/Bauer Rookie of the Week
Don Smith, Clarkson  Center (Niagara Falls, New York)
        Smith scored the first two goals of the game and the first two of
his collegiate career, including the game-winner in a 6-1 victory over
Bowling Green on Saturday night.  Clarkson swept the CCHA foe on the road
as it posted a 4-3 victory on Friday night.  Smith also added an assist in
the 6-1 win for a three-point night
 
ECAC/Heaton Goaltender of the Week
Dan Murphy, Clarkson  Senior (Nanaimo, British Columbia)
        Murphy posted a pair of road victories at Bowling Green defeating
the Falcons 4-3 on Friday night with 17 saves, and 6-1 on Saturday night
with 21 stops.
 
ECAC Honor Roll
Doug Battaglia (Rensselaer), Senior, Left Wing (Barrie, Ontario)
        Scored twice in the Engineers 4-2 home-opening victory over
UMass-Lowell.
 
Dru Burgess (Colgate), Senior, Center (Hamilton, Ontario)
        Completed a hat trick with a goal 2:43 into overtime to carry
Colgate to a 4-3 victory over Army.  The three goals now gives him four on
the season, ranking him second in the league in goals and his five points
ties him for second in scoring.
 
Ben Maidment (Clarkson), Junior, Left Wing (Smiths Falls, Ontario)
        Maidment tallied three assists, including one on the game-winner,
in Clarkson's 6-1 victory at Bowling Green
 
Willie Mitchell (Clarkson), Freshman, Defenseman (Port McNeil, BC)
        Mitchell kicked off his collegiate career with two goals and an
assist in the Golden Knight's two wins at Bowling Green.
 
Stephane Piche (Vermont), Junior, Right Wing (St. Antoine, Quebec)
        Piche had a hand in both of the Catamounts goals in a 3-2 loss to
Boston University as he tallied a goal and an assist and now has three
points (1-2) on the season.
 
Bob Prier (St. Lawrence), Junior, Right Wing (Nepean, Ontario)
        Tallied two goals and two assists in an 8-3 win over St. Thomas.
Had an assist in Friday night's game and finished the weekend with two
goals and three assists for five points, tying him for second in the ECAC
overall scoring race.
 
Dave Smith (Union), Freshman, Left Wing (Brantford, Ontario)
        Netted a goal and had an assist in his first collegiate game for
the Skating Dutchmen, who suffered a 5-4 overtime loss at Providence.
