My understanding - backed up by recent comments at both our Blue Line
Board meeting and Blue Line Luncheon is:  the games were made exempt
from the season limit - MSU could not have played otherwise as they were
already committed to the limit - but the indecision, which has not yet
been resolved has to do with whether the games will count in determining
selection and seeding for the NCAA tournament.  Local authority says that
may not be decided for some time.
