Mike makes good points about why Maine may have dropped from 1 to 6 in
TCHCR 1/4. Note also that "Last Week" was not really last week, it was
since 12/25 and includes results from two weekends of play - Bob Croce
ignored that fact in his article.

Here are some other reasons why Maine may have dropped as much as they did:

* Loss to Wisconsin in the Badger Tourney.
* Win over UMass-Lowell countered by UML's two poundings suffered in North
Dakota; UML dropped 7 spots in TCHCR.
* Combined record of teams Maine has beaten was 12-14-0 between 12/25 and 1/4
(Teams Maine has lost to went 5-1-0).
* Total movement in TCHCR by teams Maine has played was -12 spots, suggesting
that Maine's opponents as a whole went down between 12/25 and 1/4.

As we've seen many times before, the performance of your opponents can
affect your ranking in TCHCR just as it appears to have affected Maine's.
