Not much defense in the first period. UIC let Bowling Green back in the game
in the Third Period by forgetting how to play offense. Jon Hillebrandt and a
little bit of luck avoided a UIC loss. The inevitable tying goal happened when
Mears hit a slapshot from the blue line at 12:30. Then the heat got turned up
as no more penalties were called. Rick Judson stole the puck in the UIC zone
and Zdan got his own rebound from a breakaway shot to win the game.
