Saturday 12/21
Minnesota 5 - 2 Providence
Bowling Green 5 - 3 Boston College

BG took a 3-0 lead 8 minutes into the 2nd and never looked back. Three
3rd period goals by BC cut it to 4-3, but an empty netter iced it for
the Falcons. BG was led by Brett Harkins, Peter Holmes and Martin
Jiranek, who combined for 4 goals and 6 assists. Angelo Libertucci made
30 saves for BG while Scott LaGrand stopped 33.

Sunday 12/22
Providence 5 - 3 Boston College
Minnesota 6 - 5 Bowling Green OT

The Gophers outshot the Falcons 50-18, but needed an overtime goal at 2:32
by Steve Magnusson to defeat BG. Libertucci shined, stopping 44 shots total
and saving 15 of 16 in the third. BG was up 2-1 after one, but UM tallied
thrice in the second. The Falcons managed only 5 shots in the third, but
still tied it up when 4th-line center (and converted defenseman) Paul Basic
got his first goal of the season with 1:15 left in regulation. UM tender
Jeff Callinan had only 13 saves, but 4 came in OT when BG had several
quality chances to win.
