Lemme see if I get this straight.. the Miami redskins roll along the
entire season.. scooting to the top of the ccha and playing well.. and are
ranked number 4 in this pole a week ago. Now, last weekend Lake Superior
defeats Miami for the first time this season following a 2 game sweep by
the redskins earlier in the year... then lose a close game to Ferris
State, who were obviously hungry for a victory (They manage to eek out a
6-4 victory.. but it's a one goal game in my books.. empty net goals
count.. but not for much) Does Miami really deserve to drop from the
number 4 spot all the way to number 10? I find it funny to see Clakson and
Lake superior ahead of Miami considering Miami defeated Clarson quite
soundly (3-0) at the Mariucci Classic and also considering their
sweep of the lakers earilier in the year. Yes, they deserve to drop in
the poles, but deserve far better than the number 10 spot. I am almost
even more surprised
to see Michigan state ranked so high.. if I do recall.. the redskins lost
a very, very close game earlier in the year and are ahead of them in the
ccha standings. Anyways, this coming weekend
will be a true test of Miami, they will be primed to play well against
obivously the best team in the nation.. I can see 2 hard fought games..
with each team collecting a victory. Miami's defence and goaltending will
give the high-flying wolverines something to think about. 2 lop-sided
victories by michigan this weekend would be a good reason to see Miami
drop in the poles.. but if they manage to play well both games and escape
with at least one victory (which i am predicting they will) alot of people
will be putting their proverbial foot in their mouth (Aren't teams allowed
to have an off weekend?) and we'll see Miami get vaulted in the poles..
surely into the top 5.
