All I'll say is -- there were many voters who had Cornell like 4th, 5th or 6th.
Then there were many others who didn't include them at all. I can't figure
out why, but I'll shut up now.

BTW, it's the Around the Rinks/USCHO poll - let's not forget please :) --
It's hard enough to get publicity as it is.

Having been to just about every game in that 1991 season, I'm pretty certain
Cornell was in the Top 10 during 1991. I'm pretty sure they were there in 1990
at some point, too, and I know for a fact that they were ranked at some point
in 1989, because in doing research on the last ECAC team to be ranked No. 1, I
came across a Boston Globe article that mentions Cornell as being in the Top 10
according to, what was then, the Albany-Times Union Poll, which was the
predecessor to the Troy Record Poll, which is now our poll.

This is the lead to the story -- (I hope the Boston Globe understands relaying
this copyrighted material, considering its brevity and context)

"Yesterday's 9-1 victory over Ivy League-rival Cornell at the Bright Hockey
Center will leave a lot of heads shaking. No one expected the Big Red, ranked
nationally among the top 10, to be dismissed so easily."

This is from either December '88 or January '89 -- great stuff like this can be
found by searching the Boston Globe site, though it's $1.50 per item to see an
entire story.

Art Mintz could probably remember better for the other years.

Around the Rinks top 10, I know you meant to say.

It's a good bet.
