I know that loud, obnoxious, and rude is a compliment, sometimes I wish our
pep-band was more so. As for the Fans, the Lynah Faithful are still the best
hockey fans in DivI (I know that comment will generate responses). In recent
years, they got really crude instead of creative (eg. graphic refences to the
referee's sexual fondness for sheep.), but there has been a real push both by
the team and the fans themselves to do away with that sort of thing.

The SLU game showed how creative the Faithful can be. Since the Lappins on SLU
are having some legal problems stemming from an alleged incident involving a
baseball bat, the crowd started a cheer where they would point to Cornell's
bench and yell "Hockey Team!" and then point to SLU's bench and yell "Baseball
Team." You never get a break in Lynah, especially when you are losing.

Now that Clarkson has a new rink, I'm sure more bands will make the trip. I
can only remember one Cornell swing into Potsdam and that was for the ECAC
quarters in '89. Walker was just too much of a postage stamp to squeeze into.
And besides, no one wanted to listen to that bell for a whole game. (What
happened to that thing for Cheel anyway?)

Let's Go Red!
In the afterlife, the Faithful will be rewarded. (The Lynah Faithful that is.)
