Perhaps the biggest losses suffered in terms of players who were not
graduated was by BU and BC. BU lost Shawn McEachern, Scott Lachance and
Keith Tkachuk, although McEachern would likely have turned pro. BC lost
Bill Guerin, Ted Crowley, Steve Heinze, and Marty McInnis, but Guerin was
rumored headed to the NHL anyway. A few other teams lost one player each
who had at least one year of eligibility left: Harvard, Minnesota,
St Cloud, and Maine. All other players on Team USA had either graduated
or already turned pro.
