>From everything I've read and heard, the guys will keep the scholarships. As I
have mentioned before, transfers can be a pain for upperclassmen who have
gotten rather far into their disciplines. In most instances, certain classes do
not get transfered thus the student is required to stay an extra year if he
wants his degree. Additionally, I do not know if freshmen are allowed to
transfer either.
I do know that they could leave without penalty to their eligibility (I
remember Kent State a few years back).
 
Then again, some of the guys may just be looking to hockey as a means of making
it big so education become a by-product of hockey (or college sports in
general).
