Saturday night was a different game - Superior never had a chance from the
start.  On the other hand, there were two important similarities:  Too many
penalties called (14 minors on each plus one 10 min. misconduct, this time
on Superior) and the Pointers are exceptionally good both at power plays
and at killing off power plays.  I felt like Michigan Tech must feel after
losing in OT twice to the Badgers, that the refs didn't let the teams play
hockey.  Now don't get me wrong - I like penalties.  They keep the game in
check (nobody wants to see pro hockey garbage at the college level) and
power plays, either way, are exciting.  But it does seem as though the refs
can get very picky at times and distract from the game on the ice.
