Yes he was in Ithaca, but left just before the exhibition game last weekend.
The Daily Sun had pictures of him skating with the womens team, and mentioned
his relationship with Schafer.  I'm not sure of the NCAA rules on his skating
with the team.  Anyone?  The paper also alluded to his drinking at Dunbar's
with the team, but since I've turned 21, I haven't been there and didn't
see him on campus.  Though I wish I had made it up to Lynah to see him skate.
