I do believe that at a WHCA playoff series held in St. Paul a few years back
that either the Star Tribune or the St. Paul Pioneer Press (I'm going to have to
dig thru my clippings) rated the bands that were in attendance, including UW and
the U of M. The piece concluded that they wished that the Mich Tech band could
be the official band for all the teams in the series due to their antics and
their volume.
 
Also, The Tech Band WAS Banned from the Lakeveiw, due to their antics and their
volume. Those folks down the road in Marquette could never take a joke!:,)
