I have finally received the tentative schedule for next year for Boston
College (see below). The BC hockey office also sent me media stories on
the 2 official early signings, Marty Reasoner (article in The New England
Prep School SportsPage) and Andy Powers (article from Eagle Action!) I
would be happy to forward these to anyone who is interested; let me know.
Reasoner is very highly regarded and Powers follows his father's footsteps
(BC captain in 1970-71.) Coach Jerry York is quoted as saying that Powers
will probably play at forward next year because BC is losing 6 forwards,
but that Powers is versatile and probably a better defensive player.

The other recruits for next year (listed in an earlier post that gave the
details from last week's Boston Globe) are apparently all going to be
walk-ons. There may be the possibility of scholarships in the future for
some of these players; as most of you know, BC still has a limited number
of scholarships following the Cedorchuk era.

As a clue to how things work at BC, along with the hockey information I
received a BC 1995 Football schedule sheet and 10 pocket-sized football
schedule cards. If anyone wants BC football schedule info, send me mail.
