This is in reply to the question about the Gopher and Badger game where they
went four on four after the coincidentials!
 
This year the NCAA changed the rule for the first coincidential penalty. If
there is a coincidential pentaly assesed both teams go 4 on 4, but each
coincidential after the first one neither team is penalized for it and they
skate four on four. If a regular penalty is assed the penalized team will
therefore go down a player. I'm not sure for the reasoning behind this rule,
beside that the NCAA probably needed something to do and to make it harder on
the referees!
