I'd like to point out (not to excuse the blown call in that game) that
had that goal counted, Lake State still had time to tie.  The way they
played in the tournament, they very well could have tied the game with a
last-minute goal, then won in OT.  If that had happened, we'd all be marveling
over their incredible comeback which spurred them on to a national title.
It would have been improbable, but not impossible.  It's not like it was an
OT goal taken from the Huskies (which the Lakers would not have been able to
overcome).
