1. BU, Maine, UNH, and maybe Northeastern can make a good case for an all-sports
league. If they upgrade their Naismith-ball, maybe they can lure Providence,
UCONN, and UMass-Amherst (The Big East is no longer interested in the
non-division 1A football schools, the A-10 is in trouble). They could ask
Vermont to join. Not sure what to do about BC, Merrimac, and Lowell.
2. At one time Merrimac was a power in DII B-ball. Would they upgrade?

1. Funny how in most sports the Big10 is really the (Big 6 + Big 5), with Lake
Michigan being the dividing line. Don't most rivalries lie on one side
or the other? There's probaly not enough participation to add hockey to
the Big 10.
