Paula and I are unable to make the trip to Albany for the Phinal Phour.
We decided to go to Albany after last year's Phinal Phour in St. Paul,
regardless of which teams were going.  We bought our tickets and made
our travel arrangements last January.  Paula had surgery for a detached
retina last month, and had another medical problem pop up last week.  She
is doing much better now, but will be unable to travel for another week
or two.
 
We had looked forward to attending the Phinal Phour, and meeting many
HOCKEY-L members.  We will attend the next two Phinal Phours in Milwaukee
and St. Paul, and as many as possible after that.  We hope to see some
of you there.
 
Our good friend, Carol White, will be going on without us.  She could use
a ride from the airport to the Red Roof Inn on Wolf Road on Wednesday
night.  Her flight, Continental #3475 from Newark, will arrive at 9:09 PM.
As she will be carrying the official HOCKEY-L buttons, I know that someone
will want to be the first to welcome Carol to Albany.
 
I do wish we could be there, but sometimes things just don't work out. :-(
