I was going through some old issues of Sports Illustrated at my parents'
house this past weekend, taking most of them for recycling. I came across an
article in the January 30, 1984 issue concerning the Pooley twins of Ohio
State's team (they were among the nation's leading scorers). I didn't realize
OSU had such a good team back then. Anyhow, I thought someone on the list
might be interested so I'm willing to mail the issue to the first person who
requests it from me privately. If I don't hear from anyone it will go into
the recycling bin.
Incidentally, I also came across a "Faces In The Crowd" item from Apri
l 11, 1977 which reads as follows:
"Dave Taylor
Levack, Ontario
A senior at Clarkson College in Potsdam, NY, Taylor became the ECAC hockey
all-time single-season scoring leader with a record 108 points (42 goals, 66
assists). An All-America forward, Taylor scored a school career record 251
points."
This one I am keeping.
Thanks,
-Glenn
P.S. I still have plenty of issues to look through. If I find any more
interesting college hockey stuff next time I visit my parents, I'll post it
to the list if anyone is interested.
