Despite subpar weekends, the top three ECAC teams (Harvard, RPI, and Yale)
all officially clinched playoff spots, while at the other end, Princeton's
surprising tie with the league-leading Crimson (perhaps not so surprising,
since they took Harvard to OT earlier this season) gave the Tigers a leg up
on Cornell in the "race" for the tenth and last playoff berth.
By beating Yale, Harvard has also clinched at least a tie for the Ivy League
title. The only Ivy League team that could conceivably catch the Crimson is
Dartmouth, which would have to win all five of its remaining Ivy contests
and hope that Harvard loses its last two.
ECAC results from last weekend:
Friday, February 12:
BROWN 8, Princeton 3
Clarkson 3, CORNELL 0
HARVARD 4, Yale 1
