FOLEY EARNS ECAC NORTHEAST HONORS
CAPE COD, MA–Senior forward Jim Foley (Brockton, MA/Catholic Memorial HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team has been honored by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Foley has been named ECAC Northeast Player of the Week.
Foley scored twice in last week’s ECAC Northeast conference victory against Stonehill, including the game winner. He scored the game-winning goal in overtime in Saturday’s 5-4 conference victory at Plymouth State, and had a power play goal in Tuesday night’s conference win at Worcester State.
"I was pleased that Jim was honored,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. “Jim is the
consummate role player and team captain night in and night out." Foley serves as the Corsairs’ captain.
The Corsairs are 5-0-0, 3-0-0 in conference play. They will play visit Babson in the first round of the Babson Classic Saturday afternoon.
