The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for December 23, 1992:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
There was a fair amount of shuffling this week, but the same teams remained
in the top 15 -- probably a result of fewer games and fewer voters.

The only media poll I saw this week was the Times-Union poll, and here's a
comparison between that one and HOCKEY-L. There are considerably more
differences this week than usual -- in particular, HOCKEY-L thinks a lot
higher of Miami than the Times-Union does, while the reverse is true of
Harvard.
Times-
HOCKEY-L Union
Team Record Rank Rank
Maine (8) 17-0-1 1 1
Michigan 10-3-2 2 2
Lake Superior 10-3-3 3 4
Miami 11-3-2 3 6
Minnesota-Duluth 13-4-1 5 5
Harvard 9-1-1 6 3
Wisconsin 9-6-1 7 7
St. Lawrence 8-3-1 8 (12)
Michigan State 10-6-1 9 8
Minnesota 7-3-4 10 10
Alaska-Fairbanks 14-3 11 (14)

Boston University 7-4-1 13 (11)
UMass-Lowell 10-5 14 (12)
Denver 8-7-1 15
With only one media poll, the Tadpoll would not be terribly interesting, so
I'm going to sidestep it this week...
The next HOCKEY-L poll will be released in two weeks, on January 6, with the
deadline for votes being January 5. Enjoy the holiday season, everyone!
