Time out for the glass cutter!  A big check by an NMU player resulted
in his target and himself breaking out a piece of the glass and has
stopped play with about 16 minutes left in the 3rd period.
 
The score is now 3-1 NMU.  Joe Frederick scored on a very bad angle
shot which the Wisconsin goalie blocked with his glove, but the puck
bounced off the glove and looped into the net.  Almost immediately
afterwards Kelley Fairchild of Wisconsin scored when NMU goalie
Corwin Saurdiff was taken down by one of his own sliding player.
While Saurdiff was down Fairchild got the puck about 4 feet off the
left corner of the net and lifted it over the downed Saurdiff into
the net.
 
My apologies on my earlier report--at the end of two periods the shots
were anything but "about even"!  Wisconsin led NMU 32-17 in shots on
goal at the end of 2.
 
Play has resumed and NMU has been buzzing the Badger net but has just
missed several very close opportunities.
