the Independent Hockey Association -could begin play as soon as next
season. In the IHA would be Bemidji State, Air Force, Army,
Alabama-Huntsville, Niagara and Findlay (Ohio). Official announcement
of the league is expected at the NCAA's January meetings.
The WCHA is looking into the formation of an eight-team women's
league that would start play next season. In the league would be
Minnesota, St. Cloud State, Minnesota-Duluth, Wisconsin, Minnesota
State (Mankato), Bemidji State, Ohio State and Michigan.
