I believe someone referred to Cornell as having locked in 2-5 with their
wins this weekend... that doesn't sound right to me. The standings should
look like this right now:
Vermont 33
St. Lawrence 32
Clarkson 31
Cornell 30
Colgate 28
Harvard 19
Obviously, Cornell can't finish lower than fifth, but my impression is that
they could finish in first, if the following happens:
Cornell beats Clarkson and St. Lawrence, AND
Colgate beats or ties St. Lawrence, AND
Harvard and Brown combine for at least a win and a tie vs. Vermont (Cornell
would win tiebreak vs. Vermont)
The way Harvard and Brown have been playing lately, it's not all that
likely, but still possible, yes? If someone can dispell that notion,
please do...
