So what idiot had Merrimack and Princeton contending for league
titles? :-). Well, it is early after all - and Don Cahoon has not
exactly had his team roaring out of the gates since he arrived in
New Jersey.
Princeton's first four ECAC games in each season in the Cahoon era:
1991-92 0-4, 10 goals for, 21 against, finished 9-12-1
1992-93 1-3, 16 for, 20 against, finished 6-13-3
1993-94 0-3-1, 9 for, 22 against, finished 7-12-3
1994-95 0-4, 14 for, 28 against, finished 9-10-3
So when the Tigers go 0-2 at Brown and Harvard this weekend, I
guess I won't be surprised. Princeton can't use the 'hey, but
they've played more games than us' excuse because the Bears and
Crimson have been part of the first four games every season.
BTW, where are the St. Lawrence and Clarkson boxes from this
weekend? Doesn't anybody up there in North Country keep tabs
on this stuff? What, are we waiting for Joe Bertagna to find
the Internet? Yeah, that will happen real soon...
