Cornell University's Director of Athletics and Physical Education, Laing
Kennedy, announced yesterday that he would resign his position no later
than July 1, 1995. Kennedy, who has been Director for 11 years, felt that
he has accomplished all the personal and professional goals he set out to
accomplish when he took the position, and that it is time for him to move
on to something else.
 
Kennedy is a former member and chair of the NCAA's Division I Men's Ice
Hockey Committee.
