Rumblings out of the University of Lowell have some surprising
changes coming next season with coach Bill Riley's passing of the
torch to former UNH Wildcat/Boston Bruin and current associate head
coach Bruce Crowder. Word is that Crowder will hire former Bruins'
goalie Doug Keans and recently-retired Bruins' defenseman Gordie Kluzak
as assistants. If this happens, it will instantly make ULowell a VERY
attractive place to play DivI hockey for many New England kids, not to
mention Lowell's planned construction of an brand new on-campus rink
within a few years. Now, THIS is the way to do things right. Keep your
    eyes on Lowell.

p.s. another reason Lowell may upset Maine: Crowder was assistant at Maine
for several years before coming to Lowell this season, and he knows
the Black Bears' system inside out...
