   Huskies star defenseman Bret Hedican has returned from his season with
the U.S. Olympic team, but has decided not to play the balance of the
season with St. Cloud State.
  Instead, Hedican will decide whether to turn pro immediately with St.
Louis or play with the Huskies next season and possibly compete for the
U.S. again in 1994.
  "I think it was a smart decision," Gophers coach Doug Woog said.  "It
gives Hedican extra leverage to use in his negotiations with St. Louis
because he now has some options that he wouldn't have if he'd used his
college eligibility up by playing these few games this season."
