Brown dropped a tough 5-3 game to RPI Friday night. RPI didn't even
need Joe Juneau, out with a bad back. To his credit, the Brown goalie
Haygood (Haywood?) played pretty well, giving up four goals to the
mighty RPI attack. Play got pretty chippy in the third, with 26
penalties! I will be opinionated and say RPI is always like that, a
real dirty team. Brown is pretty cheap themselves, but every time I
see RPI play, they're always roughing it up. And that 6'4" guy Kummu.
What a monster! Actually, I'm just still mad at RPI for beating
Cornell in the Garden last year.

Brown got clobbered by Vermont 5-0 the next night. To his discredit,
Haywood (Haygood?) didn't make the big stops when he had to. But
Brown didn't offer much offense, either. Near the end of the game,
the Vermont goalie made a save on a slapshot. The crowd got rather
angry, however, since the shot didn't get registered on the
shots-on-goal board. Denied of a double-digit shots-on-goal count, we
got pretty upset. The board remained at 9.

Brown falls to a pretty sad 0-3-1.

And my Notre Dame team lost in football. Not a good weekend. At
least Cornell did okay in the North Country. But I'll let Bill report
that.
