On Coach Schafer's injury...

None of ESN's cameras (and I doubt they have more than two at a game) caught
the "shot" into the Cornell bench, so from watching on TV I couldn't judge
Mitchell's intent. Quotes from some Cornell players and assistant coach
(acting head coach?) Matt Carlin indicate that they felt the shot was
unintentional, and one report I saw (probably on the Clarkson forum, I can't
remember) stated that the puck bounced off the corner of the glass (above the
bench) and hit Coach Schafer on the rebound. It was probably a case of
Mitchell being irritated because Clarkson was about to be hit with a pair of
penalties, and taking his frustration out on the puck without regard to where
it might end up going.

Whatever Mitchell's intent was, he did flick the puck off the ice during a
stoppage in play, which usually results in a delay-of-game penalty... but since
it took a good minute and a half for the officials to realize something was
wrong on the Cornell bench, I'm not surprised it wasn't called.

"It's time for Congress to act. The computers do not need a V-chip. The

-- Representative James Traficant (D-Ohio), citing a report in which a woman
claimed to have gotten pregnant (yes, pregnant) through an E-mail exchange
with a lover 1500 miles away. Traficant went on to warn of the dangers
   of "immaculate reception."
