        Charlie's post of the Air Force schedule brings up an interesting topic.
Why are the service academies so uneven in their scheduling?
 
        I mean,  REALLY!   Colorado College followed by Villanova???   Villanova is
not even in the ECAC East let alone being one of the stronger "upper level" D3
teams.   The same inconsistency was exhibited by the Army schedule last year.
 
        I think that in general the bottom quarter or third of D1 is about equivalent
to the top third of the "upper level" D3.   (For those not familiar with D3,
it is split roughly into two levels.)   That's a pretty large group of teams.
 I'm wondering if the service academies have SO much trouble scheduling as
independents that this is what causes the strength of schedule to be so uneven
from weekend to weekend?
