   John Gasparini, who won three NCAA ice hockey championships while head
coach at he University of North Dakota, will be interviewed today for the
vacant head coaching job at Ohio State.
 
   John Markell, who was appointed interim coach at OSU when Jerry Welsh
resigned in February, also will be interviewed by a university search committee.
 
   Five or six candidates for the job were to be interviewed this week,
after which the committee was to recommend two or three to athletic director
Andy Geiger, who will make the final decision.  Geiger said yesterday that
he expects to receive the recommendations by this weekend.
 
   Gasparini's teams at North Dakota won NCAA titles in 1980, '82, '87, and
his 1979 team was runner-up.  He lost his job as coach after the 1993-94 season.
