Alright, who can tell me what's up with the PC Friars?

This is a team that finished 6th in Hockey East with a pretty bad record
(7-11-6 in HE, 12-16-6 overall) but continues to win pull off upset
after upset the entire year. First, the went into Meehan Auditorium for
the Mayor's Cup game against Brown, were totally blown out in the first
5-10 minutes, but ended up winning 6-2, I think it was. Then, the
trounced Boston University 8-1 in Providence (where they don't have much
of a home ice advantage, at least in terms of fan support-- does anyone
ever go?) and then went into Lowell and killed them 7 or 8 to nothing.
(Granted UMass-Lowell isn't that good, but 8-0 on the road anywhere is a
big upset). Now they've knocked off UNH in the HE tourney and it
wouldn't surprise me at all to see them do some damage in the Garden.

So, my point is, can anyone explain why this team is so inconsistant?
On any one night that beat anyone but are just as likely to get
trounced.
