Colorado College beats St. Cloud tonight 5-2 at the National Hockey
Center. The game was a lot closer than the final indicates, as the first
period ended scoreless. Jay McNeill got the Tigers on the board in the
second, but St. Cloud answered to end the period tied 1-1. In the third,
St. Cloud took the lead on a goal by Paradise, but CC's Remackel immediately
returned the favor to tie it up again. 1:10 later R.J. Enga got a goal
to give the Tigers the lead back. McNeill scored his second goal in the
9th minute, a short-handed goal, and denfenseman Kent Fearns scored less
than 2 minutes later to wrap up the scoring, all of which occurred within
5 minutes. After Fearns' goal, St. Cloud replaced Stone with Leitza for
the rest of the game. CC improves their league record to 6-1.

Jeff Thomas' three stars of the game:
1. Jay McNeill
2. Ryan Bach (made 26 saves)
3. Jason Gudmundson

Same two teams meet tomorrow night.
