Well, we could generate a hockey-l All American Team.  It could be just
as biased as anyone else's; but with a few rules (and plenty of time
until next season) maybe a concensus would evolve.  And with no publication
deadline, there would be plenty of time for lobbying.
 
And speaking of naming things - what do hockey buffs do during the off-season
that would suggest a couterpart to "hot-stove league"?
