A letter written to the Omaha World Herald by Chris Gordon now goaltender
for Michigan commented thanking the fans for their support and how much
it meant to him and his playing performance.
As written: "Many Thanks From 'Gordo'"
I've heard that the greatest fans of all, the Omaha Lancers' "Red Ice Rooter,"
and a few other fans were checking up on a former Lancer goaltender.  That kind
 of support means more than you can imagine.
   I know because that goaltender happens to be me.  It gave me a boost of ener
gy that must have paid off, because I was able to contribute to Michicgan's 9-3
 victory over Cornell in the final game of the best-of-three first-round NCAA
series.
   I don't doubt Lancers fans' loyalty, and no one else should.  Many thanks
from "Gordo."
