Former Clarkson ('93) goaltender Chris Rogles was recently honored as
the International Hockey League's top American-born rookie.

Rogles was awarded the IHL's Ken McKenzie Trophy after posting a 14-20-6
record with a 3.66 goals against average for the Indianapolis Ice. Rogles
surged in the second-half recording a 12-9-6 record. he also finished tied
for the league lead with 2 shutouts.

Actually, the article seems to report a contradiction. In the beginning,
it said he was named, the IHL's, "top American-born rookie of the year."
But later it stated that he, "received the Ken McKenzie Trophy, annually
awarded to the league's leading American player," and didn't qualify it
with rookie. I do suspect that it goes to the top American rookie since
there are probably a few other Americans in the IHL who would get it over
Rogles if it wasn't for rookies.

Congratulations to Rogie!
