Question:
        Is it written in stone that the independent bid gets a slot
        in the west?  (I think not, but then i'm from colorado)
 
Follow Up Question:
        Why did alaska get the 6th seed in the WEST instead of the
        6th seed in the EAST?  It seems to me (after wading through
        38 messages this am) that there were teams in the west more
        deserving than Cornell and it MIGHT have been better to seed
        Alaska in the east in place of cornell and selected a 6th team
        for the west.
