The tournament was Sunday/Monday because the Minnesota high school hockey
tournament was in the Civic Center Thursday through Saturday. The committee
met on Monday afternoon, during the WCHA third place game. Had they postponed
their decision or the announcement thereof by a few hours, I doubt whether
anyone's travel plans would have been seriously affected. If expedience is
most important, they could have announced their decision last Friday and saved
everyone a lot of bother.
